The BTE-100-01-L-D-EM2 mezzanine is a type of rectangular connector, specifically in the "arrays, edge type" style. It is meant for double-row board-to-board applications. Application Fields & Working Principle

The BTE-100-01-L-D-EM2 rectangular connector is mainly used in double-row board-to-board applications. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, from industrial and medical equipment to consumer electronics. It can also be used in consumer applications such as remote control devices, audio and data systems, wired and wireless communication equipment.

The BTE-100-01-L-D-EM2 works by having a connector housing with two rows of female contacts on one side, and a connector housing with two rows of male contacts on the other side. The two housings are assembled by pushing them together until the mating tabs click into place. When the two parts are mated, the female contacts on the first connector and the male contact on the other connector make an electrical connection.

In addition, the connector is provided with positive mechanical locking features. This helps ensure strong mating engagement as well as secure mounting in the board. When mounted, the rear of the connector housing is secured by two fasteners, and the bridged contacts provide up to 8° of misalignment capability. The contacts provide gas-tight and vibration-proof connections with low contact resistance, guaranteeing reliable electrical connection.
