The BTS462TATMA1 is a highly reliable and high-power switching and load driving solution, offering excellent scalability and outstanding power dissipation capability. Developed for efficient power management, this solution offers an integrated LTCC construction with minimal external components and is available in a compact surface mount package.

The BTS462TATMA1 is a 500V, 4A, 6V·n-channel power MOSFET for a wide range of switching and load driving applications, such as automotive and industrial motor control. It has in-built protection features that include overload protection, thermal overload protection and a unique reversible current limiter that keeps the circuit under safe operating conditions. It offers superior power handling capability and very low voltage drop to ensure long-term energy efficiency, while surviving high-voltage and inrush transients.

The BTS462TATMA1 is designed to work with Battery Management System controllers, embedded microcontrollers, switched-mode power supplies, Smart power management ICs, or general-purpose processors, offering excellent device integration and improved system efficiency. It enables the highest level of precision switching including loads up to 600 mA.

The load driver integrates a sophisticated 3-level, voltage boosted gate driver which allows for stateside detection and transition from PWM low, to PWM high, to shuttle drive state. This three-level algorithm improves the switch-on time, allowing faster switching speeds. It also provides cycle-by-cycle current sense and adaptive slew rate control to reduce gate flicker, resulting in superior EMI performance.

The device is designed with a wide operating temperature range to support applications in thermally demanding environments. It is also ideal for automotive qualified applications and is AEC-Q101 compliant.
