DC DC Converters

DC-DC converters are electronic devices used to convert electrical power from one circuits to another, usually from one voltage level to another. The cuk converter is a modified version of the boost converter. It utilizes two capacitors to store energy and thus can achieve higher efficiency compared to the other types of converters. The power conversion efficiency of a cuk converter is typically around 99%.

DC-DC converters are used in a wide range of applications, from large scale power systems to small electronic devices. In addition to the popular topologies discussed above, there are many other specialized types of DC-DC converters that are used in specific applications.
