A Bridge Rectifier, also known as a full bridge or bridge rectifier, is a general-purpose, solid state, four-terminal, full-wave rectifier, which converts alternating current (AC) power into direct current (DC) power. The Bridge Rectifier allows the AC voltage to be rectified to a single polarity DC voltage with a steady DC voltage output and accepts both positive and negative polarity input voltages, making it especially useful for universal input AC adapters.
