The oscillator also features a low supply voltage (3.3V to 5.5V), low start-up current (3mA max.), low current consumption (10mA max.), and a low power dissipation (0.8W max.). It is a low cost, reliable and highly accurate oscillator.The working principle of CE3390-20.480 oscillator is based on the voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) which is a type of oscillator circuit that is used to generate a controlled frequency with high precision and stability. The VCO consists of an amplifier which is connected to a feedback loop. The output of the amplifier is fed back to the input and is compared with a reference voltage. The gain of the amplifier is adjusted in such a way that the reference voltage is maintained at the desired level. When the input signal level is varied, the gain of the amplifier is also adjusted, thus creating a change in the output frequency of the oscillator.In the case of CE3390-20.480, the oscillator uses a phase locked loop (PLL) to achieve both frequency accuracy and stability.
