CL-198N-WS-D-T is an enhanced version of CL-198N-WS family, which are precision molded in a bakelite plastic shell, having leads molded-in. These efficient devices are designed and developed to provide wide range of displays including bargraphs, icons, and discrete LEDs. The potential applications of this product range from automotive audio system control panels to home and commercial entertainment control systems. The most important feature of this product is that it is designed with a "two-stage" pulse count, which ensures that the output lights will remain steady even after a single pulse is detected. This feature is useful for applications in which the input pulse is not always the same, such as audio signals or radio reception. Furthermore, the CL-198N-WS-D-T is designed to have the capability to transition seamlessly from red, amber and green (RGB) light. For example, the CL-198N-WS-D-T can transition from a red light when an input signal activates the left side of the device, to an amber light as the signal reaches the middle, to a green light when the signal reaches the right side - all in a single transition. In operation, the CL-198N-WS-D-T is designed to couple two feedback loops together to form a single output stage. This two-stage feedback loop consists of the LED light source and its associated driver, as well as a logic circuit connected to the LED in order to monitor and control the output power. The logic circuit is designed to detect an "on" or "off" logic state and will increase the output power when the logic state is "on" and decrease the output power when the logic state is "off". The position of the LED output power is determined by the input pulses, with each pulse corresponding to a specific amount of output power. The CL-198N-WS-D-T, on the other hand, is designed to allow up to four pulse inputs to be applied before transitioning to the next output power setting. The CL-198N-WS-D-T also has the capability to control the intensity of the LED signals by using a variable resistor with a range of 0-2.5 ohms.
