The CLE-171-01-G-DV series of rectangular connectors is a cost-effective solution for applications that require both signal and power contacts with a small footprint. These connectors can be used in applications of industrial control, audio, medical, communication, or automotive electronics.
The CLE-171-01-G-DV comes in various configurations with up to fifteen different numbers of contacts. The densest layout configurations are the fourteen and fifteen contact models. The 14 contact model is arranged into two power contacts on the top, two power contacts on the bottom, and 10 signal contacts on the sides. The 15 contact uses the same two power contacts at the top and bottom, while the signal contacts are now evenly distributed on all four sides of the body. The spacing between the two power contacts is 1.00mm + 0.3mm and between the power contacts and the signal contacts is about 0.5mm + 0.2mm.
Furthermore, the CLE-171-01-G-DV series is designed for current ratings of up to 3A and surge current of up to 10A. The operating temperature range for the components is from -40°C to +105°C. The exterior body of the connector is constructed from Nylon 6T and the contact material is copper alloy with nickel plating.
The CLE-171-01-G-DV series of connectors work according to two working principles: positive lock and snap-in. The positive locking works according to the principle of locking the contact elements via latch or lock system. This is done by inserting the male part into the female part until a click sound is heard, which indicates latching of the contact elements. Snap-in works according to the principle of inserting the male connector into the female connector and having the male pins be inserted through the noise reduction module on the female form. When the two units are joined the contacts are securely snapped into place.
