CLE-186-01-G-DV-TR products are a type of connector designed for both power and signal applications. It is rectangular in shape and is characterized by a two part construction consisting of a two-piece plastic moulded header, and a receptacle or female socket.

The header is a two-piece moulded plastic housing which has attachment holes that keep the connection secured against vibration and electrical interference. It contains a number of gold-plated contact pins which are physically and electrically isolated from each other. The receptacle is also a two-piece moulded plastic unit that has a number of cavities into which the pins are inserted. The receptacle is then secured to the header to complete the connection.
