The CMR03F391JOYM is a high voltage mica and PTFE capacitor designed for use in radio frequencies. It is constructed with a non-solid electrolyte made from a combination of mica and PTFE that are ideal for high frequency applications due to their very low dielectric loss.The CMR03F391JOYM is a three-terminal, non-polar capacitor that features a voltage rating of 170Vdc, a capacitance range of 100pF to 510pF, and a very low ESL of 0.30pF. The three terminals are designated as C1, C2, and C3, and provide a symmetrical connection to the capacitor’s active and ground planes. The C1 terminal is connected to the mica and PTFE concentric dielectric while the C2 terminal is connected to the ground plane. The C3 terminal is connected to the active plane that is used for mounting of semiconductors, transistors, and integrated circuits.The low dielectric loss of the mica and PTFE electrolyte allows for high frequency operation up to and beyond 250MHz, which is well suited for radio frequency and microwave applications. In fact, this capacitor is used in the development of pulse forming networks for Radar and other RF applications. Additionally, the CMR03F391JOYM is constructed with epoxy molding compound to protect it from moisture and other contaminants, thereby increasing its service life. The CMR03F391JOYM capacitor is a surface mount component that is designed and manufactured using SMT technology. This component is constructed with layers of alternating mica and PTFE, which are bonded together using a chemical bonding agent.
