Mica and PTFE Capacitors

Mica and PTFE Capacitors, such as the popular CMR04F391JPAP capacitor, are composed of two dissimilar dielectrics. Like most dielectrics, they offer excellent electrical properties such as low inductance, high capacitance, and low electrical loss. In addition, they are characterized by their non-dissipative operation, extended temperature range, and superior insulating properties.

Working Principle

The center core of the capacitor contains several layers of PTFE film with independent layers of copper electrodes.
