CMT-8118-B Working Principle
The CMT-8118-B is a three-section common mode choke which consists of two transformer parts and one inductive part. The inductive part has two windings and the transformer part has three windings. The connections of the two sets of toroidal cores are symmetrical, two parallel up and down, two series, and their sequences are directional. In this way, the interference of a common mode is filtered and suppressed.
The working principle of CMT-8118-B is that the differential mode signal is filtered into the transformer part of the choke, and then the transformer part is connected with the inductor part. The voltage across the core is filtered by the inductor, so that the common mode interference signal is cancelled and the load current is also reduced.
