The CN100A24-12 is a DC-DC converter from Murata Power Solutions. It is a regulated DC-DC converter that provides a tightly regulated output voltage of 12 VDC from an input voltage range of 18 to 36 VDC. The CN100A24-12 converts the input voltage to a regulated output voltage through the use of a DC-DC switching converter. The output voltage level is adjusted by controlling the duty cycle of a pair of series connected MOSFETs which conduct in opposite directions depending on cycle.The CN100A24-12 uses a high-frequency switching technology called “powerexchange” to allow for a wide input voltage range and high efficiency. The purpose of the power exchange is to convert electrical energy from one form to another at a high frequency, allowing for a high-efficiency power conversion. In the case of the CN100A24-12, the power exchange converts the input voltage of 18 to 36 VDC to a regulated 12 VDC output voltage.The CN100A24-12 is designed with an internal over temperature protection, overload protection, and short circuit protection to ensure a long-term, reliable operation. In addition, it has a very low electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to the use of a low-noise switching frequency of 50kHz.The CN100A24-12 is ideal for a wide range of applications.
