CP2-HA110-D1-KR Application Field and Working Principle

CP2-HA110-D1-KR is a backplane connector made by Molex from their Hard Metric family. The CP2-HA110-D1-KR series is designed for high-speed signal and power applications. It is suitable for applications such as connecting on-board computing modules or Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) in server and machine platforms.

Features

The CP2-HA110-D1-KR has several features that make it an attractive option for high-performance applications. It offers increased signal integrity, improved power application with conductors, and IEEE P1386.2- and IEC 603-compliant connectors. Additionally, it provides a choice of three power contacts (24, 18, and 8 AWG) and nine signal contacts (including 8, 24, and 36 AWG signal contacts). The latter makes it possible to create a high-performance design with higher data rates. The total width of the connector is only 11 mm, which enables high-density mounting solutions for space constrained designs. The connector is also designed for high temperature and vibration resistance.

Working Principle

The CP2-HA110-D1-KR features a six-position design with default pins on the launching side. It uses two polarization keys (one in the opposite direction) along with an interlocking latch, which helps to keep the connector securely in place. The mating force is also adjustable, thanks to a recessed actuation knob located on the outside of the connector. This knob is used to adjust the amount of force required to insert and remove the connector. The CP2-HA110-D1-KR supports up to 2Gbps transmission rates, making it capable of handling high-speed digital communication up to 150MHz.

Application field

The CP2-HA110-D1-KR is ideal for high-speed, signal and power applications in servers and other computing systems. It is also suitable for inter-board connections in local digital networks (LDN).
