CP2-HC055-E1-FJ is a plug-in Hard Metric (HM) connector designed for use in backplane and board-to-board systems. This Hard Metric modular connector type is manufactured by Johanson Technology Inc. and is one of the company\'s Series-68 high-pair-count micro-miniature contact and receptacle connectors. The CP2-HC055-E1-FJ is compact, high-density 1.27 mm HM-type connector with 55 contacts. It has a 1.27 mm ratio pitch, 5.00 GHz contact frequency and low 1.00 mm maximum stacking height.

The CP2-HC055-E1-FJ mates with the 830-04041-020 in the following way: Firstly, two rows of 55 contacts are separated from one another by a space of 1.27 mm. These contacts are then connected in an alternating sequence to the other side of the connector, with the top row of contacts on one-side being complemented by the bottom row on the other. On the 830-04041-020, these contacts end in a single male contact that is inserted either directly or through a backplane into the corresponding female receptacle. When mated, a positive connection is ensured by a positive latching mechanism.

The CP2-HC055-E1-FJ is designed to maintain consistent electrical performance up to a maximum operating frequency of 5GHz and is suitable for transmitting high data rates up to 3 Gbps.
