Working Principle

The CS2100P-DZZR device contain an embedded VCO, PLL/DLL, and dividers to generate up to 14 outputs (6 reference, 6 tapped, and 2 integrated PLL outputs). The VCO operates within a frequency range of 35 MHz to 1050 MHz depending upon the device.

The device performs clock and data recovery up to a frequency of 12.8GHz. For the recovery process, the CS2100P-DZZR uses its input clock signal which is conditioned and filtered for signal integrity. After the signal is conditioned and filtered, the signal is passed to the PLL/DLL.

The PLL/DLL is used to lock and unlock the signal depending upon the density of the data. The outputs of the PLL/DLL are used to generate and maintain frequency control of all outputs.
