The device features a DIAI/DSD Mode which allows the user to toggle between standard audio mode and DSJ (Direct Stream Digital) Mode, rendering high quality audio signals out of digital audio streams. This allows digital audio formats such as I2C and SPDIF to interface with external digital audio components. The device has a low power status indicator LED and a digital mute circuitry which can be configured to controlled by external logic. The device also offers a wide digital control range, allowing higher audio gains up to +24dBm.The CS8415A-CZZ also employs a clock multipler and jitter attenuator, which allow better accuracy and image noise rejection from the incoming audio stream. A programmable TDM BRY register allows up to 256 channels of data and up to 16 channels of audio formats.
