Common Mode Chokes

Common mode chokes are used to reduce, suppress or eliminate electromagnetic interference (EMI) from high-current circuits. In particular, CTX01-14471 common mode chokes are designed to provide high performance in the frequency range of 450 kHz to 1.5 MHz.

CTX01–14471 common mode chokes operated on the principle of inductive magnetic coupling. This principle works by creating a magnetic field around the choke winding that will induce a voltage into the winding in direct proportion to the magnitude of the magnetic field. This induced voltage is then used to drive a current in the same direction as the magnetic field. This current then serves to absorb the electromagnetic energy thus helping suppress it and reduce interference.

The CTX01–14471 can be used in any type of inductive device such as electric motors, relays, transformers, and generators.
