CTX100-4A-R is a type of signal transformer array, it is widely used in different application fields. The main function of the CTX100-4A-RI operates is to provide electrical isolation and impedance matching of an AC signal. The device consists of four (4) signal transformers that are connected in series with the primary being a single transformer winding. Each of the secondary transformers are independently wound with individualized windings that can be shorted, opened or bridged depending on the application.

The CTX100-4A-RI is an ideal device for applications that require isolation and impedance matching. The series configuration of the signal transformer core helps reduce the overall size of the device while simultaneously providing low power losses as compared to an individual transformer.

The most common applications of the CTX100-4A-R include audio signal transmission, RF signal isolation and impedance matching, impedance matching of antenna signals, ground loop elimination, and current and voltage sensing. It is also suitable for applications such as voltage reference, current balancing, pulse shaping, and general signal conditioning. Most importantly, the CTX100-4A-R provides excellent electrical isolation, which is essential for proper signal transfer in digital, RF, and other applications.

The working principle of the CTX100-4A-R is the same as other signal transformers. It relies on Faraday\'s Law of Induction, which states that a changing magnetic field will induce an electromotive force (EMF) in a conductor placed in the magnetic field. The EMF will cause a current to flow in the conductor and, as such, a current induced in the secondary circuit will be proportional to it in magnitude and in opposite direction.

Since the primary winding of the CTX100-4A-R is split into four separate windings, the current induced in the secondary circuit will be proportional to the sum of the currents flowing in the primary windings. Therefore, a change in current in any of the primary windings will result in a corresponding current in the secondary circuit.

The CTX100-4A-R is also capable of providing isolation between the input and output circuits so that the input signal is not affected by the load on the output circuit. This is done by having an isolation transformer between the two circuits. The transformer behaves like an air gap and prevents any exchanging of energy, which maintains the isolated state between the input and output circuits.

The CTX100-4A-R provides an ideal solution for applications that require electrical isolation and impedance matching in a single device.
