CTX300-4-R is an array of 16-channel coaxial high voltage rotary switch with screw terminals connection. The array provides a galvanically isolated low thermal drift solution for switching relatively low voltage signals up to 400Vrms. The array is suitable for high-density backend signal routing and instrumentation, and can be used to interface signal routing for oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, data acquisition systems, electronic measurement systems, test and measurement instrumentation, etc.

Signal Transformers:

The CTX300-4-R is based on signal transformer technology, which is used to electrically isolate signal routing circuits from each other. This isolates the audio/video signal from EMI/RFI interference, which can cause disruptions and degrade signal quality. Additionally, the array provides galvanic isolation of the input and output circuits connected to it, eliminating potential ground loop issues resulting from different ground potentials. Furthermore, the array is designed with high isolation accuracy and low thermal drift to ensure that signal levels remain accurate and stable. The array\'s low thermal drift also reduces crosstalk and signal distortion.

Working Principle:

The CTX300-4-R array is an 18-pole rotary switch composed of two sub-switches. The first sub-switch contains four coaxial high voltage cables, each capable of handling up to 400Vrms. The second sub-switch has 12 coaxial high voltage cables, each rated up to 25Vrms. Each cable is connected to a single pole on the switch and then to one of the signal transformer cores. These cores provide galvanic isolation between the inputs and outputs. When the appropriate positions on the sub-switches are set, the signal current will flow from the input to the signal transformer’s primary winding, while the signal voltage remains unaffected. The transformer’s secondary winding then generates an isolated version of the signal, which is then routed out of the array to the output connectors. This process ensures isolation between the input and output, provides signal level accuracy, and eliminates the occurrence of ground loops.
