• Working Principle

The CY74FCT244ATSOCTE4 works with two common input/output voltage levels - 0.8V (called the Low Level or ‘L’) and 2.4V (called the High Level or ‘H’). The major function of the IC is to transfer the low level to a high level or vice versa. The IC has two operational modes – active low input/output and active high input/output.

In active low mode, the logic ‘0’ voltage is applied to the input, so the output is low (0.8V). The other input of the IC is connected to the higher voltage level (Vcc) and the output is in the high state (2.4V). The IC can switch to the low state when the active low input is deactivated. When the high input is applied, the output shifts to the low state.

In active high mode, the logic ‘1’ voltage is applied to the input, so the output is high (2.4V). The other input of the IC is connected to the lower voltage level (GND) and the output is in the low state (0.8V). The IC can switch to the high state when the active high input is deactivated. When the low input is applied, the output shifts to the high state.
