The CY8CMBR2010-24LQXIT is an integrated capacitive touch sensing solution that includes a CapSense® CSD block, a dedicated internal IDAC, SRAM, and a unique capacitive-to-digital conversion block. This integrated topology enables buttons and sliders as touch-sensitive input elements with low power operation and a high degree of flexibility.

The CY8CMBR2010-24LQXIT is a general purpose capacitive touch sensing solution for use in all types of applications, including interactive performancecontrols, game controllers, user interfaces, small-scale embedded systems and medical devices. The device is designed to integrate with other devices in mixed analog and digital application networks.

The CY8CMBR2010-24LQXIT integrates a unique capacitive-to-digital conversion block, which converts measured capacitance to a digital value. This value is then processed using the fixed threshold hysteresis algorithm. The resulting capacitive scanning is based on the number of fingers, pressure or proximity of conductive objects. This algorithm provides high-accuracy detection and immunity to disturbances.

The CY8CMBR2010-24LQXIT device is designed to work with a single indium touch sensor or an array of sensors. The device can detect even the slightest touch on its surface, with sensitivity up to 0.02pF. It can recognize single-finger and multi-finger gestures, providing a smooth and intuitive user experience. Its rapid scan time ensures update rate up to 160 Hz, enabling a smooth, consistent user experience. It can support up to 38 touch keys.

The CY8CMBR2010-24LQXIT is a highly integrated solution for passive capacitive touch sensing. The device features low power operation and is powered by a 1.8V to 3.3V DC supply, consuming only 4.5uA of Active Supply Current in Active State and 10nA of Sleep Current during idle state.

The CY8CMBR2010-24LQXIT features an integrated PCS block to allow fast, efficient operation with minimal CPU utilization and is capable of operating from a single clock source, eliminating additional external components and cost.

The device also includes a 128*8-bit SRAM that can store the key matrix and the device configuration data. Its 16-bit IDAC can be used to vary the capacitance of the touch sensing elements and to change the corresponding threshold values.

As an integrated solution, the CY8CMBR2010-24LQXST provides all the circuitry required for linear and rotary data acquisition and touch sensing, eliminating the need for dedicated capacitive touch sensing ICs, capacitive sensing elements, external SRAM, and more, reducing the total application cost and system design complexity.
