The DC1083A-A evaluation board is a DC/DC & AC/DC (off-line) switch mode power supply (SMPS) designed specifically for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications that require voltage and/or current regulation. The DC1083A-A board is a fully programmable, cost-effective alternative to designing discrete PoE converters, making it suitable for a range of consumer, industrial, and automotive applications.The DC1083A-A evaluation board features a low-cost, high-performance, microprocessor-controlled, universal power supply. This allows the board to convert a low-voltage, high-current input to a high-voltage, low-current output in an efficient way. The board is fully programmable via its onboard microprocessor, allowing it to be used for voltage and/or current regulation in a range of applications.The DC1083A-A evaluation board features an on-board voltage regulator providing up to 14V DC output. This output voltage is adjustable from 0V to 15V DC, and can be configured to provide either a constant voltage or a constant current output. The board also includes an isolated DC/DC converter that can provide up to 8A of output current.When used in PoE applications, the DC1083A-A evaluation board can provide up to 24V DC at up to 12.5A of output current. This allows the board to support a wide range of PoE-enabled equipment, including switches, access points, chargers, and more.The DC1083A-A evaluation board is an ideal solution for power-over-Ethernet applications that require voltage and/or current regulation. Thanks to its on-board microprocessor and adjustable voltage and current output, the board can be used in a wide variety of consumer, industrial, and automotive applications.
