The flyback converter is an isolated dc-to-dc switch mode power supply (SMPS) of single-ended topology with multiple outputs. In a flyback converter, a single switch is used to convert a fixed input voltage to a desired output voltage which is isolated from the input voltage.The DC2066A evaluation board has a wide input-voltage range of 9 V to 18 V. It utilizes an external MOSFET switch which supports a continuous power output of up to 5 W.
