The DC2073A-E is a great example of such a tool, as it offers an efficient, easy-to-use platform for the evaluation, demonstration, and debugging of a variety of power management applications.The DC2073A-E is a 32-bit microcontroller evaluation board, based on the Embedded Trace Macrocell™ IP. Giving engineers the ability to evaluate multiple peripherals and perform in-depth troubleshooting on a board, the DC2073A-E provides an excellent platform for assessing new devices and developing solutions for a variety of applications.The most common application field of the DC2073A-E is power management applications. It can be used to efficiently debug and validate the performance of common power management components, such as Solid State Relays (SSRs), DC-DC converters, Linear Regulators (LRs), and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controllers. By utilizing the Zynq®-7000 All Programmable SoC’s ARM® Cortex™-A family of processor cores, and Xilinx’s FPGA fabric, the DC2073A-E is able to take advantage of real-time data logging and I²C, CAN, and UART communication protocols to evaluate various components’ performance. In addition, it can also be used to develop advanced power management solutions, such as those related to renewable energy, automotive, and medical devices.In terms of its working principle, the DC2073A-E is based on the ARM Cortex A-9 family of processor cores. This provides an optimized platform for the compilation and running of program code. It also uses the Xilinx FPGA fabric to provide a programmable logic platform and software tools to support the evaluation of power management components. These tools include a debugging port, an embedded logic analyzer, a logic signal generator, and peripheral drivers, providing multiple alternatives for debugging a system.The DC2073A-E board also provides two different types of programming options: software development and hardware development. The software development package gives engineers the ability to use their own tools for development, while the hardware development option allows engineers to take advantage of the Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC’s ARM Cortex A-9 family of processor cores and Xilinx FPGA fabric.The DC2073A-E is an efficient and easy-to-use evaluation board, providing a platform for the evaluation, demonstration, and debugging of a variety of power management applications.
