DC2418A-A Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits offer an impressive technology platform to evaluate or demonstrate processor and microcontroller technology. It is designed to provide a realistically configured system, containing a processor, memory subsystem, external buses, and peripherals, allowing a wide range of testing to be performed with a minimum of component design. The DC2418A-A board is built from a range of components that can support many processor systems from the 8051 family of microcontrollers to the more powerful embedded controllers.
The DC2418A-A board utilizes the industry-standard Microcontroller Core (MI Core) architecture to achieve maximum performance. The MI Core architecture includes high performance CPU cores, memory controllers, and peripheral interfaces, all tightly coupled together in order to achieve the lowest possible latency in communications between the various system components. By using the industry-standard MI Core architecture, the DC2418A-A boards are able to rapidly scale up and down to meet the needs of a wide range of application scenarios.
The DC2418A-A board includes a powerful 32-bit processor, up to 512 KB of on-board Flash memory, 32 MB of on-board SRAM, three separate buses for connecting peripheral devices, and a wide range of other features that enable system designers to quickly and easily prototype their applications. The Evaluation Board has connectors on-board for connecting controllers, sensors, and other peripherals as well as headers that can be used for easy access to system buses. In addition, the board includes a real-time analyzer that provides detailed insight into the behavior of the system, enabling developers to quickly pinpoint the source of system problems.
The DC2418A-A board includes a wide range of features that make it ideal for system testing and debugging. It also includes a powerful debugger that gives developers the ability to monitor and manipulate program execution as well as to access and modify the system registers.
