DC2432B-C is a fully integrated circuit allowing users to realize multi-axis measurements. It can measure with an accuracy of 1/100th of inch/centimeter and has a range of up to 30 meters. The Evaluation and Demonstration Board provides on-board analog signal conditioning and provides support for dual-range conversion between 4-20mA/0-2.5V and 0V-10V interfaces. It also has multi-angle orientation capabilities for 3D measurement.

With DC2432B-C, users can easily interface with a wide range of signal conditioning and interface solutions including the Bosch Sensortech ANALOGIN module, for data conversion and processing, and the ANALOGOUT module for interfacing to other measurement systems. There is also the choice of two different communication protocols and an optional software development kit for developing custom applications.

The technology behind DC2432B-C Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit is based on a combination of piezoresistive pressure sensing and gas amplification. The piezoresistors measure pressure. This pressure signal is then amplified and conditioned using a signal conditioning and multiplexing circuit. Further, the amplified signal is then filtered and digitized via an analog-to-digital converter. This signal is then converted into digital form at the output before being sent to the processor.

DC2432B-C Evaluation and Demonstration Board and Kit also features an integrated temperature sensor and temperature compensation system. This, together with the pressure sensing and signal conditioning components, enables the device to not only measure pressure but also temperature. The temperature compensation system allows DC2432B-C to accurately process signals over a wide temperature range.
