DEV-14040 Evaluation Boards - Expansion Boards, Daughter CardsThe DEV-14040 is an evaluation module with an expansion board, daughter card, and modular action used to break out analog and digital I/O pins from micro-controller applications. The board was developed to help developers quickly and easily verify and debug automotive and other applications. This evaluation board, expansion board, and daughter card provide engineers direct access to a range of analog and digital I/O. The DEV-14040 is a highly configurable and expandable solution, designed for engineers and developers who require a flexible and modular approach to prototyping and rapid development of automotive micro-controller designs.The DEV-14040 comes as an all-in-one board that contains the main application board, a daughter card, and an expansion board. The main application board contains the micro-controller, and is used as the configuration and control board. The daughter card is an abundant resource of peripherals that includes four-bit GPIO, two-wire UARTs, and LIN-BUS interfaces for both debugging and programming. The expansion board houses essential discrete I/O components, such as push-button and interrupts. The DEV-14040 is also programmable with its own bootloader, allowing for fully autonomous debugging and programming.In terms of I/O capabilities, the DEV-14040 is one of the most versatile and flexible evaluation boards on the market. The main application board and its daughter card feature the latest ARM Cortex-M0 based microcontroller with a range of 32kByte SRAM, 8KByte ROM, and 64KByte Flash memory. The expansion card includes 65 I/O, with 40kB Flash memory. All I/Os provide 5V tolerant, and are protected against over-current and over-voltage conditions. The DEV-14040 also features integrated 32-bit 10-bit ADC and DAC, allowing for accurate analog signals in a wide range of applications.The DEV-14040 also includes on-board event-handling with its own processor and timer, allowing the programmer to easily write complex code for rapid prototyping and development. The expansion board also features a debugger interface and a UART, allowing for real-time debugging and monitoring of system operations.In addition, the DEV-14040 also includes a vast range of peripheral offerings. The board provides a comprehensive range of LED arrays, rotary encoders, shift registers, and segment displays, allowing for quick debugging and prototyping. The board also includes I2C and SPI bus support for connecting to and controlling external sensors.
