RF Evaluation and Development Kits, Boards: DEV-SYS-0104-1B Application Field and Working Principle
The DEV-SYS-0104-1B from Amphenol RF Evaluation and Development Kits and Boards is an ideal design platform for evaluation and development of various RF and microwave applications. The 1U high board includes a compatible host board, one RF transceiver module and one power amplifier module. Two independent channels provide flexibility in configuration and signal sensitivity.
The board has been designed to perform use in the 2 to 6GHz frequency range. Two SMA sockets are provided on the top-plane of the board to allow for direct connection to the RF transceiver and power amplifier modules. An external antenna is also provided to access the antenna port on the bottom-plane of the board.
The digital transceiver and power amplifier modules are mounted on the board and can be connected to the host board via a universal serial bus (USB). The transceiver module is powered by the host board and the power amplifier module is powered by the on-board transformer. This configuration allows the board to support a wide range of applications without the need for additional components or hardware.
The power amplifier module is designed to operate in the 2 to 6GHz frequency range and provides up to 24dB of gain, with a maximum output power of 20 dBm. It is equipped with an integrated temperature sensor which enables temperature compensation of the module. This provides good stability and accuracy of the amplifier\'s performance.
The transceiver module is designed to operate in the 2 to 6GHz frequency range and provides up to 21dBm of maximum output power. It utilizes Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) modulation to allow communications up to a data rate of 2 Megabits per second. The transceiver also supports modulation schemes such as Frequency Modulation (FM), Phase Modulation (PM), and Amplitude Modulation (AM). The module is also capable of performing automatic gain control (AGC), Digital predistortion (DPD) and digital down-conversion (DDC) to ensure efficient operation.
The host board includes a PCIe (PCI Express) connector and four low speed transceiver channels. The board is powered by a 9V DC power supply, however an additional power connector is provided to allow the board to be connected to a higher voltage source. The PCIe connector can be used to connect the host board to a computer or development board, whilst the four low speed transceivers provide connectivity to the RF modules.
The DEV-SYS-0104-1B from Amphenol RF Evaluation and Development Kits and Boards is an ideal design platform for evaluation and development of various RF and microwave applications. Its high performance, easy configuration and system flexibility allows it to be used in a wide range of applications from wireless communication to radar testing.
