DFJ-60 fuses are an electrical specialty product designed for a wide range of applications. They are available in various sizes and shapes for multiple uses. These fuses are most commonly used in residential and commercial installations as well as in industrial power systems.
The design of DFJ-60 fuses is unique. Each fuse has a metal strip embedded with a thin film of material that serves as a conductor, called an element. When current flows through the element, the element heats and melts, releasing the stored energy as an electrical arc across the gap created by the melted element.
The current carrying capacity of the DFJ-60 fuse is determined by the total number of charge carriers contained in the element. The current carrying capacity of the fuse helps to determine the time it will take for the element to melt and shut off power when presented with an overload or short circuit condition. The use of this specialized type of fuse also ensures overload protection of overcurrents up to the rated current.
The DFJ-60 fuse also contains a visible indication that the fuse has been activated. This indication can be seen when an electric arc appears between the two separated elements. This is clearly visible and helps to indicate that a fault has been observed and the fuse must be replaced.
The DFJ-60 fuse works by siphoning current away from contacts, wiring, or other electrical components. The element of the fuse melts and opens the circuit, breaking the electrical current flow and preventing further damage that could have been caused by the current.
Fuses for a variety of low voltage and rating applications can be obtained from DFJ-60. These fuses are designed to provide overload protection that is not affected by temperature, thus providing excellent performance in high temperature environments.
The DFJ-60 fuse utilizes an innovative technology in which a sensor actively monitors the current the fuse is carrying. If the current exceeds the specified value, the sensor will trip and the power to the circuit will be cut off.
DFJ-60 fuses also come with a tamper-resistant feature. This feature prevents the fuse from being activated by any external entity from deliberately or accidentally short-circuiting the element. When the fuse is blown, the resistance measurement between the pin is interrupted, which allows the user to detect the blown fuse.
In addition to its overload and short-circuit protection, DFJ-60 fuses also provide protection against overvoltages. The fuses are rated to a specific voltage and are tested to ensure that they can withstand these voltages without excessive heat generation.
DFJ-60 fuses are designed to be extremely safe and reliable. They are tested for endurance and are certified for safe, reliable and effective operation. Thanks to their robust construction and solid design, DFJ-60 fuses provide reliable operation for a wide range of applications.
