DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR application field and working principle
Backplane Connectors - DIN 41612 is a type of connector which is specially designed to assist in connecting circuits within an integrated circuit, in particular motherboards and daughterboards within computer systems. They are also used in other electronic systems, such as those in telecommunications, where their high speed and high density connection helps to speed up and strengthen the system.
The DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR from the series is one example of backplane connector designed for high speed and high density applications. This DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR connector has an application field in backplane connections and is made up of four rows of rectangular pins with a maximum of 24 pins per row. It is also RoHS compliant.
The generally accepted working principle of the DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR backplane connector is based on the concept of pluggable connections, which allow the connection of daughterboard circuits or traces to those on the motherboard. By connecting the daughterboard into the DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR connector, an electrical path is created between the two circuits by the connection made in each pin.
The basic characteristics of the DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR connector include a snap-in mounting type, which is simple and cost-effective to install, and 1A rated current and 250V rated voltage. The contact resistance is a maximum of 20 mΩ and the insulation resistance is 1000M Ω (minimum). The mating cycles associated with the connector are rated at 500. The total insertion depth into the backplane is 10.85 mm, and the cable retention force is a maximum of 1kg.
The connector is the ideal solution for high-density connections within integrated circuits, aiding in the reduction of system power, size and cost. With an operating temperature range of -65°C to +125°C and UL 94V-0 flammability rating, the pins are able to stand up to harsh working environments and have a longer operating life as a result. With a compact design and a low profile, the installer can ensure the connector does not make a bulky footprint on the circuit board.
The DIN-080RSD-RR1L-KR connector is the ideal choice for backplane connections within challenging environments. Its snap-in mounting type is easy to use and cost-effective to install, while its high speed and high density connections ensure a strong connection between the daughterboard and motherboard within a tight space. The durable construction and tiny footprint mean it is the perfect choice for applications which need a reliable connection in a small form factor.
