DIN 41612 connectors are a type of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) backplane connectors utilized in electronic equipment where modular function blocks are placed in chassis slot or card cages, and need to be interconnected. The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH is a 30-pin, high-density type of connection from the DIN 41612 compliant backplane connector family. The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH meets the requirements of the European standard (DIN 41612), with a 2mm pitch and four-way polarization for secure mating between modules.The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH is designed to be used in backplanes, but is also suitable for other applications such as panels, telecom frames and instruments. It uses the dual port (DPS) style, in which a natural pin to socket pair on each side of the backplane, and shuttered socket to socket pair on the other side.The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH is a 12 row by 2.00mm connector, with 3.20mm cutout, and each port is rated to 4 amps maximum per contact. The contacts used are "connector plating" RoHS-compliance gold-plated phosphor bronze, with 14um gold plating on the mating area, and 8um gold on the solder tail.The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH is mechanically keyed to ensure correct mating, and the UL 94V-0 flame rating indicates its suitability for use in demanding environments. The connectors are designed for Vertical, Right angle and Horizontal PCB mounting, depending on the design application.The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH is designed to support high-speed communication protocols. It features signal speed as fast as 10Gbps barrier, significantly reducing insertion loss time. The individually shuttered contacts ensures secure mating and reduced signal attenuation.The DIN-120RPC-DPS-SH can also be used in DC power applications, and is compatible with a wide range of power densities. The contacts are rated to 10A, and are capable of voltages up to 253V.
