Evaluation Boards - Expansion Boards, Daughter Cards, DP-VIP-I-EVN is designated to serve as an optional circuitry support for various engineering related tasks and to enable the user to prototype the application before a complete design is built. Its application field covers a wide range of power and microprocessor applications and its working principle centers around providing additional I/O ports and high power supply capability.

The DP-VIP-I-EVN is an integrated solution for industrial and microcontroller applications which feature a rich I/O interface. It contains powerful on-board features that support both protection and power supply applications for a wide range of applications. In terms of features, the board is implemented with two powerful relays allowing the user to split power or to control external high power loads via digital IO. Moreover, two voltage regulation modules provide an adjustable output voltage and the ability to program the voltage outputs so as to precisely drive the motor. In addition, the board provides integrated fuse protection as well as an on-board switch for power on/off.

The board\'s working principle is based on an architecture with a voltage regulator which features an input and output circuitry. The input and output circuitry are connected via a number of parallel and series combinations. The input voltage to the voltage regulator is supplied by the two analog input channels VSupply and VBS. The VSupply and VBS can be set to different combinations or independently controlled to provide power to the different components on the board.

The output of the voltage regulator is monitored by a number of control channels. These channels include Current sense amplifier, Over voltage protection, Over Temperature protection, and Power Fail detection functions. All of these functions are related to the operation of the voltage regulator output. Each of the control channels are monitored and adjusted to provide the highest level of power operational safety. Additionally, the duty cycle of the output devices is independently monitored.

In addition to power and protection features, the DP-VIP-I-EVN provides support for a number of other operations such as display and LED illumination, PWM control, signal conditioning and ADC and DAC input and outputs. These features are driven by a cascaded control logic but can also be used in tandem for more sophisticated applications. This also allows the user to control different elements, outputs, and I/O channels independently.

The DP-VIP-I-EVN provides an excellent solution for controlling, measuring, and displaying electrical signals and industrial applications. This board is capable of providing support for the wide range of I/O channels as well as a number of additional features such as failure detection and power on/off and power regulation. Furthermore, its excellent power and protection features makes it an ideal candidate for industrial and engineering related prototyping tasks.
