DS1090U-8+ is a phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer that provides phase-locked output frequencies from a low-frequency reference. Its primary application field is in the generation of high-frequency clock signals from relatively low-frequency inputs. Its flexible architecture allows the output frequency to be modified quickly, easily and accurately.
The DS1090U-8+ is a 3rd-order PLL structure that provides a frequency synthesized output. The PLL works by combining a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), phase detector and loop filter together.
