The DS1099U-TJ+ is a reliable and precise clock generator, PLL, frequency synthesizer and programming device for various digital system applications. It employs a unique combination of a low jitter and low phase noise oscillator circuit and an advanced design and implementation of a high performance programmable frequency synthesizer. This clock generator and PLL are ideal for a range of applications, including digital televisions, portable media players and digital A/V receivers.
The DS1099U-TJ+, from Dallas Semiconductor, provides precise clock generation with a very low jitter of 0 - 5ps, depending on the frequency, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. This low jitter oscillator also enables the device to be used as a programmable oscillator, as the precise and stable output frequencies can be programmed using an I2C or serial interface.
The DS1099U-TJ+ features an extremely low phase noise of -145dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz, an integrated crystal oscillator, an internal PLL, and an output control circuit. The device supports up to three clock outputs, with each output having a programmable output voltage, which is adjustable from 1.8V to 3.3V. The device has a wide frequency range of 10MHz to 10GHz and a wide operating temperature range of -40ºC to 85ºC.
The DS1099U-TJ+ also incorporates a flexible PLL structure, which allows users to program the device to achieve specific clock and data rates required by their design.
