DSC1001BL5-026.6500T oscillator is a type of quartz crystal oscillator, which stands out among various oscillators because of its superior features. The DSC1001BL5-026.6500T is capable of providing reliable and stable frequency performance with excellent frequency accuracy, high frequency precision and low jitter. The main application of the DSC1001BL5-026.6500T oscillator includes telecommunications, positioning systems, receiver systems, various clocking and timing circuits and automotive applications. The DSC1001BL5-026.6500T oscillator working principle is based on the vibration of the quartz crystal at its resonant frequency. The quartz crystal is made of a piezoelectric material with two electrodes placed on the opposite sides of the crystal. When the voltage is applied to both electrodes, quartz crystal produces an oscillating electric field. The oscillating electric field is then converted back to a mechanical vibration by the piezoelectric effect which is the reverse of the crystal’s initial effect.
The resulting oscillating mechanical vibration of the quartz crystal sets up a frequency that is determined by its physical size and shape. The quartz crystal is then sandwiched between two paralell plates called capacitors, and when a DC voltage is applied, an AC current will flow between these two capacitors. This AC current will flow at the resonant frequency of the quartz crystal and this frequency, once determined, will be the output of the oscillator.
The DSC1001BL5-026.6500T oscillator has outstanding performance and its broad operating temperature range makes it suitable for diverse applications. The frequency range of 26.6500MHz to 26.6550MHz, the oscillator temperature coefficient of ±50ppm, the rated loading of 15pF to 30pF and the short-circuit protection capability are the outstanding features of the oscillator. It also had a low phase jitter of 1910ps and a -40dBc @ on 40kHz to 80Khz. Furthermore, its output voltage is 3.3Vp-p CMOS.
