Working Principle: The DSC2230FI2-C0006 consists of a programmable oscillator, dual Microtelecommunications Compensated Crystal Oscillator (MCXO) and a variable frequency oscillator (VFO). The DSC2230FI2-C0006 is designed to generate a wide range of frequencies up to about 50MHz. The two MCXOs are connected in series and the output from the first MCXO is fed directly to the input of the second. This allows the DSC2230FI2-C0006 to generate frequencies that are accurate and consistent. The VFO is then used to adjust the frequency range. The output of the VFO is then fed to the programmable oscillator which is used to program the output of the DSC2230FI2-C0006. This enables the user to easily adjust the frequency range when needed.
The outputs of the DSC2230FI2-C0006 can be adjusted in three different modes: FREQ, Pulse, and Frequency Modulation. The FREQ mode is used to generate a fixed or adjustable frequency. In Pulse mode, the frequency of the output is modulated with a programmable pulse width. The Frequency Modulation mode uses an external clock to adjust the output frequency. All these different modes allow for flexible control of the output frequency.
