Programmable oscillators are alternatives to the traditional quartz crystal oscillators. They offer the same frequency and stability but with much higher flexibility. The DSC8121CM1-PROGRAMMABLE is a programmable oscillator ready to meet the demans of today\'s applications.

The DSC8121CM1-PROGRAMMABLE has a frequency range from 0.1 to 200 MHz. It features low power consumption, low phase noise and fast switching time from Standby to Active mode. It uses the SineWave or CMOS output with the variability of frequency through the programmable BCD output.

The DSC8121CM1-PROGRAMMABLE uses several control modes: JTAG, BCD, I2C and SPI. This allows it to be used in a wide range of applications, including industrial and consumer electronics, Wi-Fi applications, digital still cameras, and automotive infotainment systems.

The JTAG control mode allows for programmability in the DSC8121CM1-PROGRA-MMABLE and remote programming. The BCD, I2C and SPI control modes enable bidirectional setups for debugging, programming and monitoring. The programmable design allows for more flexibility, as the frequency can be changed during the operation, making it a valuable asset in any device.

As far as the working principle is concerned, the DSC8121CM1-PROGRAM-MABLE uses the Pierce oscillator, a ring oscillator, to generate high frequency sine waves.
