Additionally, the kit enables users to build their own Bluetooth-equipped projects. The working principle of the DVK-BTM411 is quite simple. It consists of two parts – a main controller board and a Bluetooth daughter board. The main controller board provides a 2.4GHz transceiver, a microcontroller, a LCD display, several pushbuttons, and other components necessary to construct a Bluetooth enabled system. The Bluetooth daughter board contains a CSR8670 Audio SoC which integrates a Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR compliant baseband, a stereo CODEC, and integrated stereo class-D amplifiers. The main controller board handles all of the Bluetooth communication. It is responsible for establishing connections with other Bluetooth devices, transferring information between them, and managing authorization and encryption. The microcontroller processes all of this information and outputs it to the display. The Bluetooth daughter board handles all of the audio processing. It is responsible for receiving and transmitting audio data and processing it into a form that can be sent and received over the radio link. It also converts the data into a form that can be played back through the integrated amplifiers.
