Among them is the DVK-RM024-S10-C RF Evaluation and Development Kit. It is based on NXP Semiconductors’ ultra-low power, high-performance CMOS multi-protocol wireless transceiver — the LTRx, along with compatible evaluation boards featuring a wide range of functions and protocols — ZigBee, BLE, Thread. The MKW41z13A module comes with a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 core running at 48 MHz, with ample system memory and storage. The CC2530 ZigBee/BLE controller is integrated to the module, offering an outstanding cost-performance.The DVK-RM024-S10-C is mainly designed for users to evaluate and develop devices following the IEEE 802.15.4-2011 wireless standard. It provides an ideal platform for users to get familiar with and experience the RM024 radio-frequency transceiver and its wide range of functionalities and features.In terms of its general application fields and working principle, a shallowly layered transmission protocol is employed by DVK-RM024-S10-C to ensure reliable wireless communication. It has three layers of concern--- Physical Layer, Media Access Control Layer, and Beacon Layer.The Physical Layer, known as the PHY, is responsible for radio frequency transceiving and modulation. It utilizes the Polar Coding and HF-SS technology and includes other techniques such as Forward Error Correction, Interference Rejection, and Multi-Rate Modulation.The Media Access Control Layer, MA.C , is in charge of data transmission authentication, request procedures, reliability validation, and reserved operation. It ensures reliable, uninterrupted, and collision-less communication.The Beacon Layer is responsible for route-discovery and maintenance, and supports time synchronization, switching off, sequence control, and other route tracing functions.DVK-RM024-S10-C is generally applied in home and industrial automation, healthcare and building and facility access control, and a wide range of devices that require reliable and low-power wireless communication.In summary, the DVK-RM024-S10-C RF Evaluation and Development Kit provides users with a great platform to experiment with and realize concepts of wireless communication designs.
