Scale Dials
E15-1-11 is an electronic composite scale dial (ESD) which is very popular in electronic devices ranging from cell phones to industrial automation systems. The ESD has two parts: the digital side and the analog side, both of which serve to control the electronic device. The digital side of the ESD is a microcontroller which acts as a digital encoder, whereas the analog side is a motorized resistive element known as a scale dial.
The scale dial is connected to the microcontroller via a series of electronic connection points on the outside of the ESD. The microcontroller registers data from the scale dial and sends it to the device. This data can be used to measure the current angle of the scale dial, as well as any additional parameters that may be required. This information can then be used to control the device.
When the device is being operated, the microcontroller processes the input from the scale dial and uses it to control the electronic device. For example, if the device has a set point, the microcontroller will control the device\'s output accordingly, by turning the device on or off at the appropriate time, or adjusting its settings. If the device has a range, then the microcontroller will adjust its output based on the scale dial\'s position within that range.
The scale dial can also be used to provide feedback to the device. For example, the ESD could be used to measure the speed of a motor or the amount of current used by a battery. This data can then be used to control the device\'s output accordingly. The scale dial can also be used to display data which is recorded by the device, such as the temperature of a room or the voltage of a circuit.
The scale dial is a versatile and reliable component for any electronic device. It offers the user an easy and accurate way to control the device and also provides feedback as to the device\'s operation. It is also relatively easy to install and use, making it a popular choice for all kinds of applications.
