The E3Z-G61-11D 0.3M optical sensor is a highly reliable, general purpose industrial photoelectric sensor designed for use in factory automation solutions. The E3Z-G61-11D is a great choice for applications where dust, liquid and other environmental conditions are a concern. With its versatile sensing distance range and easy installation, this sensor is perfect for a wide variety of industrial applications.

The E3Z-G61-11D features a LED light source which is directed onto an ultrasonic sensor that measures the time taken for the light to travel from the LED to the object and back. This travel time, or frequency, is processed by the internal circuit and changes the output state, based on whether the target object is detected or not. This motor-on feature is suitable for detect smaller objects across a longer distance. When used with the optional background suppression technique, the sensor can detect only the desired target objects, even with a vastly diverse background.

The E3Z-G61-11D offers quick response times with a maximum speed of 600 Hz and now also features a quick disconnect mechanism for up to 10-wire connection. This allows for much faster wiring than the previous 4-wire models, making it ideal for quick assembly and machine installation and maintenance.

The use of the E3Z-G61-11D in industrial applications includes, but is not limited to: detecting small objects, locating parts in automated production lines, conveying systems, assembly lines, or measuring material flow; controlling the speed of conveyor; controlling the delivery of materials in packing lines; dealing with the number of thrown away goods on the line; detecting the presence of materials in machines, and providing accurate batch counting.

The working principle of the E3Z-G61-11D utilizes the E3Z detection system. The machine’s ultrasonic sensor is attached to the LED light source which is then directed onto the desired object. The LED light waves travel at a very fast speed, so they can quickly be used to detect the presence of the target object and to determine its travel time. The internal circuit then uses this data to process the output levels which will either indicate the presence or absence of the target object.

The E3Z-G61-11D also has a built-in background suppression feature. This allows the user to control the internal circuit to detect objects within a certain range of the sensor, while ignoring objects that are outside of this range. By using this feature, this reduces the chances of false alarms caused by environmental influences (such as background objects).

The E3Z-G61-11D is a highly reliable, general purpose industrial photoelectric sensor designed for use in factory automation solutions. It is great for applications where dust, liquid and other environmental conditions are a concern. With its versatile sensing distance range and easy installation, this sensor is perfect for a wide variety of industrial applications and its quick disconnect mechanism allows for faster wiring than other sensors. The built-in background suppression feature also allows for more accurate detection of the target object in a wide range of environmental conditions.
