The working principle of E6C3-AN1E 256P / R 2M is a classic technology called photoelectric incremental encoder, also known as the photoelectric rotary encoder, which is divided into two types: incremental encoder and absolute encoder. The main difference between the two types is the way to output the information. The E6C3-AN1E 256P / R 2M belongs to the increment encoder, which emits a series of simple electrical pulse signals in response to rotation, without being affected by external power failure. It has two output signals, A and B, which are usually 90° out of phase and are processed by external circuits to form the counting signal. The combination of A and B phases increases the resolution of the encoder, so that the incremental pulse information of the rotation can be transmitted more accurately.
To ensure the accuracy of rotation detection, E6C3-AN1E 256P / R 2M equips with a technology called power-off compensation, which is an original power-off data memory technology developed by Panasonic Corporation.
