The EAC-16-332 power line filter module is a multi-section power line filter designed for use in switched mode power supplies, DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, and other AC/DC power lines. The filter is rated for up to 85A at 250VAC and has a DC resistance of less than 0.05Ω. The module is often used to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by DC/AC power converters, AC/DC power converters, and power supplies.

The module\'s enclosed, stainless steel sweat box protection protects important components from damage. The EAC-16-332 also features high permeability cores with high temperature insulation for maximum noise attenuation, and ring terminals for easy, reliable termination.

The EAC-16-332 can be used in varying applications, such as protection against EMI, high frequency AC and DC current filtering, and voltage fluctuations. The module\'s wide frequency range, typically 5 Hz – 10 kHz, allows it to fit into most applications.

The EAC-16-332 works by using distributed capacitors and inductors to reduce the current spikes that cause EMI. In essence, it works by reducing the "impedance" of the power line. The inductors connected in this arrangement form a low-pass filter, allowing frequencies below a certain threshold to pass through, and blocking out frequencies higher than that threshold. In addition, when the power line experiences a high-frequency peak current, the EAC-16-332\'s distributed capacitors can help absorb the peak, thus reducing its effect on the power line and other equipment.

In terms of performance, the EAC-16-332 has a filtering effect on the output current, meaning that it can attenuate high frequency noise, provide a steady output current, and reduce the effect of voltage spikes on the power line. Additionally, the module\'s low inductance design minimizes the increase in EMI energy, and its low DC resistance ensures low power loss.

The EAC-16-332 power line filter module is an effective solution for reducing EMI, improving power line performance, and ensuring reliable operation of a wide variety of equipment. It is a lightweight, cost-effective, and easy to use module that can fit into most industrial, commercial, and medical applications.
