The bundle includes two reference boards, one each for the Atmel® ATxmega256A3U and the Expert-200 evaluation boards.The Atmel ATxmega256A3U is an 8-bit, low-power AVR microcontroller with 256KBytes of FLASH, 8KBytes of SRAM, four 8-channel 10-bit ADCs, four USARTs, three SPI, three I2C, RTC, ten 16-bit timers, and a variety of other peripherals. The board includes an onboard JTAG and SPI programming interfaces for programming and debugging, as well as interfaces for debugging if needed. The Expert-200 evaluation board is a lower cost, generic development and demonstration board. It includes a variety of peripherals and on-board jumpers, switches, LEDs, and buttons useful for general-purpose I/O. Additionally, the board includes a thermistor, buzzer, and generic A/D and D/A converters. The board also includes interfaces for I2C, SPI, and UART.In order to design custom boards, EBK-GN2010D-ELEC01 also provides a mating breadboard area to allow for quick prototyping. Together, the two reference boards and breadboard provide everything needed to evaluate and/or create custom boards.
