Film Capacitors

A film capacitor, also referred to as a film dielectric capacitor, plastic film capacitor or simply as a film capacitor, is a type of capacitor that uses an organic film of electrically stable material as the dielectric. These are generally made from either polystyrene or polypropylene. They are used to store electrical energy and act as electrical insulators as part of many different electronic components.
