ECQ-E2473JFB Application Field and Working Principle

ECQ-E2473JFB, a film capacitor, is designed for use in AC current suppression, DC blocking and high frequency smoothing applications. Its dielectric is Metallized Polypropylene Film, which disconnects and reduces high frequency radio signals and noises effectively and provides high temperature, humidity and better stability with respect to mechanical vibration.The working principle of the ECQ-E2473JFB is similar to that of other film capacitors. It is made up of two small conductive plates and a dielectric material that separates the plates. When a voltage is applied to the plates, an electric field is formed in the space between them with the plate closest to the positive terminal of the applied voltage becoming positively charged and the plate closest to the negative terminal becoming negatively charged. This creates a potential difference between the two plates.A current can flow between two plates if a conductive pathway is created. The current is able to travel between the two plates because the dielectric material is an insulator and the electric field created by the voltage prevents the current from travelling directly between the two plates.
