ECQ-E6185KF Film Capacitors
Film capacitors are widely used in the modern industry due to their performance, reliability and cost-effective design. The ECQ-E6185KF is a type of film capacitor that efficiently stores energy and maintains its performance over long periods of time.
Application Field
ECQ-E6185KF film capacitors are primarily used in energy storage applications. They are primarily used in high voltage applications, such as motor starters and power factor capacitors. The ECQ-E6185KF design is UL recognized and accepts a wide range of operating voltages.
The ECQ-E6185KF is also suitable for use in UPS applications and solar energy systems as well as other general purpose applications such as filtering and switching. They also offer a solution for high frequency applications and can be used in high pulse current systems.
Working Principle
Film capacitors work by storing electrical energy through the use of an insulating dielectric made of a thin film such as polyester, plastic, or paper. The dielectric is sandwiched between two electrodes which are connected to the capacitor and connected in series to the power source.
When the capacitor is connected to the power source, a voltage across the dielectric causes it to become polarized, thus allowing electrons to flow through and build up charge. As the capacitor charges up, the energy stored increases until it is equal to the capacitance of the capacitor (in Farads). Once the capacitor is fully charged, it can then be discharged and the energy stored is released as current.
The ECQ-E6185KF film capacitor has an energy storage capacity of 147 µF and is capable of withstanding a direct current of up to 2A at a voltage of up to 525 V. The low profile and low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) make it suitable for use in most applications.
The ECQ-E6185KF film capacitor has a wide range of applications in both low and high voltage applications due to its high performance and reliability. With its UL approval, this capacitor is the ideal choice for any application where reliability and performance are paramount.
