Film CapacitorsFilm capacitors, or polyester capacitors, are a type of capacitor with a thin polyester film as a dielectric. The film is deposited on a layer of metal that acts as the two fixed conductors of the capacitor. Film capacitors are divided into two types: plastic film capacitors and metal film capacitors.
