The ECQ-E6683JF, a surface mount film capacitor, is designed for particularly efficient performance. When applied in power electronic equipment, the ECQ-E6683JF’s unique surface mount construction, very low RDC and low temperature coefficient make it a highly efficient means of storing energy. This accumulated energy or “charge” can then be released as electrical current as the capacitor discharges. The dielectric material used in the construction of the ECQ-E6683JF is a very thin, flexible material called Polycarbonate. Therefore, the capacitance of the ECQ-E6683JF is directly proportional to the ESR, which is why an ESR as low as 33 milliohms is desirable in order to ensure maximum capacitance and performance. The ECQ-E6683JF also features a fast response time, with a rise/fall speed of only 45 nanoseconds, making it the ideal choice for applications with high frequency loads.
