The ECQ-U2A474MLA is one such film capacitor manufactured by ECQ. It is also self-healing and can withstand up to 1,500V of AC operating voltage.The working principle behind the ECQ-U2A474MLA is that of a standard dielectric capacitor. The two metal electrodes, or “plates”, are wired to either end of a dielectric material, such as the polyester film.
